WHOLE BEAST RAG is a publication + project label for progressive artists and thinkers along the fringes/frontiers of pop culture. We are based in downtown Los Angeles. 

WHOLE BEAST RAG is published quarterly online with a yearly anthology of our best works in print (when we have money). We dabble in print supplements, chapbooks, and other curiosities. 

WHOLE BEAST RAG is available for workshops, lectures, readings, events and other cool projects with likeminded creatives + collaborators. Contact us if you have an idea to pitch. We're all ears.

FRAMEWORK

We believe art includes activism, architecture, organizational structuring, workshops, conversations about non-art economies, science, constructs, radical movements, engineering and more.

We seek to assert new terrain where art might temporarily reside.

We strive to engage the public in collaboration, critique, conversation, receipt of services, residencies, workshops, or the activation of new situations.

We believe that radical art-making in this day and age is visionary and powerful.
